The BAUR system software 3.3|Core of the measurement system

  • Optimum support for all testing tasks on power cables: Find faults, commissioning test and condition analysis
  • Clearly designed software minimises training costs
  • 98% of faults can be located with the tried and tested SIM-MIM measurement method
  • Determination of the fault resistance, locating high ohmic and intermittent cable faults also in long cables or a flashover only from 32 kV

Supports the entire prelocation process.

The BAUR software 3.3 manages the control and support of all important measurement methods over the cable life cycle with cable fault location, tan delta measurement and partial discharge diagnostics. During cable fault location, it supports the measurement engineer with the display of joint positions and through extensive possibilities in the measurement method for locating cable faults quickly and efficiently. Users can also avail of the Easy Mode and Expert Mode to enable easy location of complex cable faults. Individual settings can be effected in Expert Mode, e.g. adaptation of the impulse height. Simultaneous presentation of the results of three different measurement methods simplifies comparison.

Facts

  • Selectable prelocation methods: Resistance measurement, TDR with joint search mode, SIM-MIM, impulse current and differential impulse current method, decay method and differential decay method
  • Cable fault location with Easy Mode and Expert Mode
  • Fully automatic measurement and display of fault removal
  • Measurement range over 200 km
  • Simultaneous display of results of up to three measurement methods
  • Determination of fault resistance with the resistance measurement
  • Measure low ohmic faults and cable interruptions with the TDR measurement incl. joint search mode
  • Locate high ohmic and intermittent faults with the SIM-MIM method
  • Impulse current method: The method for extremely long cable
  • Decay method: Even faults that flash over 32 kV can be located
  • Complex networks require the differential impulse current and decay method

Highly cost-efficient, effective control of measurement processes.

With the BAUR software 3.3, cable faults can be located easily and efficiently by adapting the measurement methods to network and fault. Time and cost saving work is possible with the choice between Easy Mode for standardised, easy fault location and the Expert Mode with its advanced settings for difficult to locate faults. This reduces the training expenditure for employees. Scope and quality of test results make the high efficiency of this new software clear.
